COVID-19

Do you have an appointment, examination or treatment in our hospital or are you coming to visit?

You are most welcome, but be well prepared.

In this way we prevent the spread of the coronavirus and keep hospital care safe.

The St. Vincentius Hospital closely follows the situation regarding the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus. We adhere to the government guidelines which enable us to quickly recognize patients who are (possibly) infected with the corona virus. We are thus prepared to recognize the infection, to care for patients in isolation if necessary and to inform other patients, visitors and caregivers about the preventive measures to protect themselves and others.

The St. Vincentius Hospital has taken various measures for the safety and health of patients, visitors and employees. Are you visting our hospital soon? Read the information for patients and visitors below.

  • Mandatory protective face mask

If you have an appointment in the hospital for a consultation or admission, you are now required to wear a protective face mask within our hospital walls. In this way you protect yourself, other patients and our employees.

  • Disinfect hands

You must disinfect your hands when entering the hospital.

  • Accompaniment

Visit the hospital alone as much as possible. A companion (max. 1 person) is only allowed if medically necessary.

  • Fewer entrances are open

We limit the number of entrances for patients and visitors due to the coronavirus. You can only use the main entrance, located at Prins Hendrikstraat.

  • There is a checkpoint at the main entrance

Every day there are employees at the main entrance to ask you (and any attendant) questions about your health.

  • The waiting room have been adjusted

The waiting rooms are equipped with fewer seats, so that a distance of 1.5 meters can be kept from each other.

  • You will be admitted to the hospital

Are you visiting the hospital for an admission? Then you may bring one companion with you on the day of admission. During the admission, a maximum of 1 visitor per day is allowed per patient. Unfortunately, visitors / escorts with complaints are not allowed in.

  • 1.5 meters mandatory distance

It is important to keep 1.5 meters  from other patients and visitors everywhere, especially in the corridors and the main hall. This will prevent yourself from possibly coming into contact with the corona virus. In addition, our care providers wear a face mask as soon as they come within 1.5 meters of you. They can also put on other personal protective equipment during a treatment, examination or appointment.

  • Entry of Corona patients

Patients who have to be admitted to our hospital because of the COVID-19 virus do not enter through the main entrance of the hospital. In addition, we work according to strict guidelines, whereby a patient on the nursing ward is immediately admitted to a so-called isolation room. We do everything possible to identify corona-positive patients and provide them with a face mask, even if they have to leave their isolation room for an examination.
